Description
McNally House supports the individual and their family in end-of-life care. Currently, the residential care area has 6 beds, all in private rooms, in addition to quiet rooms, outside space and family rooms.
The expansion plans for the residential hospice include creating a brand new residential hospice and Wellness Centre to increase the total number of beds to 10, each with their own outdoor private amenity space and continued around the clock care.
In addition, the existing facility will be internally renovated for a day hospice that will provide day programming, clinics, and community outreach programs. The proposed expansion will ensure greater outreach to individuals living with a life-limiting illness at home, and contribute to our vision of building a Compassionate Community.
DPAI led a comprehensive stakeholder engagement process which featured a series of consultations, visioning sessions, interviews and surveys meant to provide direction on suggested programs and design considerations. DPAI has now been engaged to complete the design and prepare working drawings for the expansion.
