Description
This architecture, interiors, and urban design studio is situated on the 18th floor of a corporate office tower in a city undergoing significant revitalization. The collaborative design of the space involved the entire team of designers and support staff, creating a workspace flooded with natural light and offering unobstructed city views.
The absence of private offices fosters a culture of equality and collaboration among the team, enhancing their connection with the city where many of their projects are visible from the studio.

The design process involved stripping away existing ceilings and floor finishes, opting for exposed concrete surfaces to enhance the space’s perceived height and cultivate a raw aesthetic in line with the firm’s preference for simple and minimal design solutions. Complementing the industrial concrete are touches of light wood and soft textiles in pink and yellow hues, accentuated by multi-colored throw rugs and inviting seating areas like a rocking chair.
Upon entry, the studio features pink interior glazing leading to the Event Space, a versatile area serving as a waiting room, café, lunchroom, event space, and a hub for discussions on design and policy issues impacting the city. The layout of the space is defined by two main axes, east-west and north-south, with expansive glazing promoting an open environment that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding cityscape. The Boardroom, Fabrication Lab, and Materials Library are visible and equipped with cutting-edge technology like 3D printers and VR capabilities, enhancing innovation and experimentation.
