The Delhi Affordable Housing project is designed to foster a strong sense of community while providing comfortable, sustainable homes. The building accommodates 25 units and incorporates shared indoor and outdoor spaces that encourage everyday interaction between residents and the broader neighbourhood.
Positioned at the corner of the site, the building establishes a welcoming presence along both the existing street and a future road. A public-facing entry plaza forms the heart of the project, with seating, bike parking, and landscaped areas creating an inviting space for gathering and connection.
The architecture draws inspiration from Delhi’s agricultural heritage, referencing the forms and materials of traditional tobacco farm structures. A pitched roof and contextual colour palette connect the building to the local vernacular while giving the project a distinct identity.
Designed using Passive House principles and prefabricated construction methods, the building prioritizes energy efficiency, durability, and occupant comfort while supporting an efficient construction process. The result is a thoughtful and contextually grounded approach to affordable housing.
