CourtX Oakville is an 89,000 square foot adaptive reuse project that transformed a dated office building into Ontario’s largest indoor padel and pickleball facility. Designed as a vibrant, community-focused destination, CourtX brings together sport, wellness, and social connection under one expansive roof.
With the project located in Oakville, our team was engaged in partnership with a2g2 architects to provide local leadership through day-to-day contract administration, ensuring seamless coordination, responsive site oversight, and alignment with Ontario building standards.
Converting former office space into a high-performance athletic facility required a significant overhaul of the mechanical and electrical systems to support the demands of indoor courts, fitness areas, and amenity spaces. The result is a dynamic and highly functional environment purpose-built for sport and recreation.
Beyond the courts, CourtX includes a pro shop, café, gym, flexible programming space, and thoughtfully designed change rooms complete with saunas for post-workout recovery. DPAI’s interior design team provided guidance on furniture and fixture selections, helping to shape a flexible, high-impact interior that reinforces brand identity while allowing spaces to adapt to varied programming needs.
CourtX stands as a bold example of adaptive reuse – reimagining underutilized office space into a thriving recreational hub for the Oakville community.
